Who can take part in this?

All students currently enrolled in any government or non-government schools can take part in this tournament. All participants are required to submit sufficient evidence while registering, to prove that they are currently studying at the School they wish to represent along with documents to verify their age.

Do you have to be a current student to take part?

Yes. You need to be a current student of the School you are representing. You should have a valid Student ID or some sort of identification to prove this. A full list of acceptable documentation can be found in the Tournament Rules.

What documents do I need to submit?

My school doesn't issue a School ID or my School ID is lost. What do I do?

You will need some sort of identification document certifying that you are a current student of the School you wish to represent and your age.

Can I submit my latest fee slip or receipt?

Yes, you can. However, please note that the payment slip has to have the School name and logo clearly visible with a valid seal/sign to indicate its validity. You will also need to submit documents to prove your age separately.

Can I submit a letter from my School?

Yes. However please note that the letter will need to be on an official letterhead of the School and attested by the Principal, Teacher-In-Charge or Class Teacher.

I want to take part in a game title but I am not old enough to play it. What do I do?

Any participant who is below the age mentioned for the respective game title they wish to register for, has to submit a signed Parental Consent form which can be downloaded here. A scanned copy of the signed form (or a clear photograph of the signed form) should be emailed to [email protected] before the registration deadline is reached or they will not be allowed to take part.

We have a team mate who isn't old enough to play the game we wish to play. What can we do?

We have multiple teams and players that want to participate, what do we do?

You may register any number of teams or players for each game.

Can students from multiple branches from the same school combine to form a team?

Yes that is possible. However they will need to choose one branch to represent themselves from.

Can one student take part in multiple games?

Yes, there are no limitations on that.

If I register for multiple games, how will my match times be handled? Will it be adjusted?

No. We will not be rescheduling matches for scheduling conflicts where one player is taking part in multiple games. It is the responsibility of the player/team to manage their own substitutes or priorities of the titles they take part in.

I just finished my Advanced Levels in 2022. Can I take part?

Yes. Students that completed their Advanced Levels in 2022 (including local A/L held in 2023) are allowed to take part.

Can students who have graduated in 2022 play?

Yes. Students that have graduated in 2022 are allowed to take part.

Can students repeating their Advanced Levels take part?
No. Repeat Advanced Level students or students resitting for their Advanced Levels this year on their multiple attempt are not eligible to represent their School.
I have registered. How will I be contacted for my match?

AFTER registrations close, the team captains (for team games) or the players (for individual games) will be sent a SMS & an email with the match details and a Telegram Messenger group link.

We will be using the Telegram Messenger app for all tournament related communications. Download the app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

I want to reschedule a match, how can I do it?

Reschedules are only possible after the quarter-final matches as explained in the Tournament Rules. There will be no reschedules (even time changes) before that.

All reschedule requests should only be sent via email to [email protected]. Reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the match time. Any late requests will not be entertained. Any requests sent via PM to referees or tournament staff will also not be considered.

I want to change my team roster, how can I do it?

Roster changes are allowed only before the first match in the tournament. After the first match, all rosters are locked and cannot be changed as explained in the Tournament Rules.

All roster change requests should only be sent via email to [email protected]. Roster change requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the match time of the team’s first match. Any late requests will not be entertained. Any requests sent via PM to referees or tournament staff will also not be considered.

Are players verified before matches? What should I be ready as a player?

All players will need to be verified for all their matches and join the Gamer.LK Discord Server (https://discord.gg/gamerlk). A detailed explanation on all the steps related to verification including video verifications from semi-final matches onwards of all games are listed in the Tournament Rules.

How will the Exhibition Esports Festival be held?

These titles will be held as casual game titles aimed at providing a fun engaging experience only and no points will be counted towards the Championship.

Competitors will need to send screenshots at the end of their matches for these titles. Registered competitors will be given special instructions on how to join these games and how to send the end-game screenshots.

Disputes in the game will be handled in limited situations only as there is no proper tournament spectator system in some of these games and these matches will not be streamed.

I registered for a game but will it be cancelled later?

Once registrations close, any game title that has received less than 5 registrations (if it is a team game, 5 teams; if it is an individual game, 5 players), will be cancelled and not held. In the event a game is cancelled, we will officially update the tournament registration page and also the game list on the Award Criteria page

Are all the games eligible for the Championship Award?

No. Some games are not eligible. Please check the Award Criteria for details on what game titles are eligible.
