Some frequently asked questions and the rules which govern the event

Who can take part in this?

All students currently enrolled in any government or non-government schools can take part in this tournament. All participants will be required to submit sufficient evidence at the Registration Desk on the event day to prove that they are currently studying at the School they wish to represent and documents to verify their age.

Do you have to be a current student to take part?

Yes. You need to be a current student of the School you are representing. You should have a valid Student ID or some sort of identification to prove this. A full list of acceptable documentation can be found below in this FAQ as well as in the Tournament Rules.

What documents do I need to bring?
The following documents need to be presented as proof of being a current student at the School:
1. A Student ID or Student Record Book issued by the School AND/OR
2. Letter from School attested by the Principal, Teacher-In-Charge or Class Teacher AND/OR
3. O/L or A/L ID Card or Statement of Entry AND/OR
4. Latest fee slip or receipt (including a Seal or some sort of certification) AND/OR
5. Latest progress report

Any of the following documents need to be presented to verify the age if none of the above documents include any proof:
1. National ID Card OR
2. Postal ID Card OR
3. Passport OR
4. Birth Certificate

Warning:
Providing forged or amended documents is a breach of the Tournament Rules and will result in severe penalties including but not limited to the immediate disqualification of the player and his/her team from the tournament, bans from all future Gamer.LK tournaments and additional penalties depending on the severity of the offence.

We have multiple teams and players that want to participate, what do we do?
You may register any number of teams or players for each game. We do have limited slots available for certain multiplayer games and once these are filled, teams will be selected by Gamer.LK. Selected teams will be informed and they will be visible on the draws announced before the event. Stay tuned to the Facebook Event page to find out details about such announcements.
Can students from multiple branches from the same School combine to form a team?
Yes that is possible. However they will need to choose one branch to represent themselves from.
My School doesn't issue a School ID or my School ID is lost. What do I do?
You will need some sort of identification document certifying that you are a current student of the School you wish to represent and your age. The list of documents accepted can be found above. For clarifications or questions, please message the Gamer.LK Facebook Page.
Can one student take part in multiple games?
Yes, there are no limitations on that.
I just finished my Advanced Levels in 2019. Can I take part?
Yes. Students that completed their Advanced Levels in 2019 are allowed to take part.
Can students repeating their Advanced Levels take part?
No. Repeat Advanced Level students or students resitting for their Advanced Levels this year on their multiple attempt are not eligible to represent their School.

Tournament Rules

All participants at the Inter-School Esports Championship 2019 are expected to adhere to the Tournament Rules which be found here. Any breach of a rule by a player or spectator will be penalized accordingly.
